Welcome!
Are you finding enough time and inspiration to patchwork?
If you are not learning, stimulating your creative side and making room for your interests you are literally losing opportunity to be satisfied, fulfilled and excited about life itself!
Experience how quick and simple projects can relax and inspire you to learn more and enjoy patchwork to a greater degree.
Thank you for visiting my site, Help Me Patchwork! It is here that I share my love of fabric, patchwork, craft, projects, resources, helpful information and other inspirational things like quotes and poetry.
- Learn about patchwork cottons! My love for all things crafty starts with a passion for the fabric itself. I am one of those people (you know who you are!! ) that can lose themselves in the bliss of gorgeous designs, colours and weights of 100% cotton. I love to browse my stash (even though it’s much too small!) and on special occasions a fabric store devoted to the joy of patchwork. Of course, there is also the online option nowadays too where prints and colours can be mixed and matched, dreamt about and discovered. I would like to share information on different designers as I learn about their fabrics and the inspiration behind them. That’s another Help Me Patchwork project in itself.
- Gain inspiration! If you lack motivation or don’t know what to make or how to do it, enjoy looking at projects such as the ones featured here. I have made (and even finished) several quilts. Most are my own designs although some are inspired by particular workshops or come directly from a pattern. They are all things of beauty to me. Even the ones that didn’t work out just how I expected them to. As I share the projects I’m making I also have the motivation to finish others that lie hidden but not forgotten in my drawers and inspire my visitors along the way.
- Gather ideas, patterns and tips! It’s my aim to share my patterns and designs in a concrete way. I find I work best when I just set out with an idea and watch it grow. It’s frustrating to not have planned and documented the process in retrospect as the beautiful quilt cannot be shared with others who would also create one. I would like to change this. Take this journey with me and learn how to plan and create your own projects or simply enjoy mine.
- Dream and wander! From time to time I am distracted (and motivated) by other crafts. I love embroidery and scrapbooking and have dabbled in hardangar work, brazillian embroidery, cross-stitch and others.
Here is an expression of the things I love to do and share. This website is a work in progress!
May you find Help Me Patchwork enjoyable and inspiring and a source of information, motivation and friendship.
I welcome you to return and see what’s new and exciting regularly!
